Gene Kloss was born Alice Geneva Glasier a native californian, was first encoraged to be an etcher by her professor . Kloss developed her techniques to the point where she was able to create etchings with great depth and tone, her interpretation of landscapes ,mountains and desert as well as Pueblo Indians have won her many awards as such is her election to The National Academy.Gene Kloss lived in Taos & Colorado , she was a porlific artist and ceated over 500 cooper-plate etchings.
